    • Description

The Dunlop Blue Response AS is an all-season touring tire that excels in efficiency, wet grip, low noise, and outstanding value. Designed specifically for sedans, crossovers, minivans, and family-oriented vehicles, it delivers reliable year-round performance with a strong emphasis on comfort, smoothness, and energy-saving characteristics that make it especially well-suited for modern electric vehicles.

At the heart of the Blue Response AS is Dunlop’s advanced silica-enhanced tread compound paired with an optimized tread pattern. This combination provides excellent water evacuation through wide circumferential grooves and 3D Waveform Grooves, resulting in confident wet braking and strong hydroplaning resistance. The tire maintains solid dry grip and responsive handling while also delivering capable performance in light snow, thanks to full-depth sipes that remain effective throughout the tire’s life. Drivers enjoy a smooth, comfortable ride with minimal road noise — a critical advantage in electric vehicles where there is no engine sound to mask tire hum.

What truly sets the Dunlop Blue Response AS apart for EV owners is its exceptional low rolling resistance. The tire features a round profile design that suppresses tire deformation stress and unnecessary energy consumption. This directly translates to improved battery range optimization — helping electric sedan and crossover drivers squeeze more miles out of every charge. Whether you drive a Tesla Model 3, Model Y, or another popular electric vehicle, this tire helps maximize efficiency without sacrificing the comfort and safety modern EV owners expect.

As a dedicated EV tire, the Blue Response AS handles the unique demands of electric drivetrains exceptionally well. It manages instant torque smoothly during acceleration, providing stable power delivery and confident traction even when the electric motor’s immediate thrust pushes the vehicle forward. Its construction supports EV load capacity from heavy battery packs while maintaining even wear and long tread life (backed by an impressive 80,000-mile limited treadwear warranty in many sizes). The quiet ride quality is particularly appreciated in EVs, where cabin serenity is a major selling point — the Blue Response AS significantly reduces road noise for a more premium, peaceful driving experience.

This makes the tire an outstanding EV replacement tire choice for daily commuters and highway drivers. The combination of low rolling resistance, refined comfort, and all-season versatility means EV owners no longer have to choose between efficiency and year-round capability. Many drivers report noticeable improvements in real-world range compared to higher-rolling-resistance tires, along with better overall energy management and a more enjoyable daily drive.

Beyond EVs, the Blue Response AS performs admirably on traditional gas and hybrid vehicles, offering fuel-saving benefits and long-lasting performance. Its balanced design provides predictable handling, strong wet and dry braking, and reliable light snow traction, making it a true all-weather performer for families and daily drivers. The tire’s even-wear characteristics and durable construction ensure strong long-term value, reducing the frequency of replacements and lowering overall ownership costs.

Whether you’re navigating city streets, cruising on highways, or dealing with changing seasonal conditions, the Dunlop Blue Response AS adapts seamlessly. Its refined manners and focus on efficiency make it especially appealing for those transitioning to electric vehicles or looking to maximize the range and comfort of their current EV.

Choose the Dunlop Blue Response AS for efficient, quiet, and dependable all-season performance in both traditional and electric vehicles. Experience the perfect balance of energy-saving technology, all-weather safety, and touring comfort that makes every drive more enjoyable and cost-effective.

Replacing stock tires on OEM Tesla wheels

Stock Tesla Tire Replacement and Maintenance
OEM Tesla tires are designed and manufactured to optimize performance, safety, reliability and durability. Naturally, due to normal usage and aging, tires degrade over time from the effects of ultraviolet light, extreme temperatures, loading and environmental exposure. T Sportline recommends replacing OEM Tesla tires exclusively with exact replacements. T Sportline Tesla factory replacement tire listings include, but are not limited to replacement OEM-spec Tesla factory tires.

        Recommended Tesla Tire Rotation
T Sportline recommends rotating your tires every 6,250 miles or sooner if tread depth varies between any of the 4 tires by 2/32 in or greater. Aggressive driving or harsh environments can lead to premature tire wear and may require more frequent tire inspection. Unbalanced and misaligned wheels affect ride quality, vehicle handling, tire life and driveline component longevity. Tesla lug nuts are 21mm socket heads and must be torqued to 129 ft-lbs / 175 Nm

Maintaining Proper Tire Pressures on Teslas
T Sportline recommends keeping tires inflated to the pressures shown on the Tesla Tire and Loading Information label, even if it differs from the pressure printed on the tire itself. The Tire and Loading Information label is located midway up on the center door pillar and is visible when the driver’s door is open. T Sportline's recommended Tesla Tire inflator is HERE.

Checking and Adjusting Tesla Tire Pressure

When your Tesla has been stationary and out of direct sunlight for over three hours:

        • Remove the tire air valve stem cap (unscrew cap by hand).
        • Firmly press a tire pressure gauge onto the valve stem tip to measure pressure (a small amount of air will escape during measurement, which is normal).
        • Compare reading to Tesla Tire Pressure specification (found on the Tire and Loading Information label located midway up on the center door pillar, visible only when the driver’s door is open), add or remove air to match the recommended pressure. Reduce pressure by by pressing the metal pin in the center of the valve. Increase pressure using an appropriate tire inflator pump or compressed air source.
        • Re-check pressure using the tire pressure gauge.
        • Re-install the valve stem cap (hand tighten)
        • Important note: Under-inflation is the most common cause of tire failures and can cause a tire to overheat, resulting in severe tire cracking, tread separation, or blowout, which causes unexpected loss of car control and increased risk of injury. Under-inflation also reduces the car's range and tire tread life.
        • Tesla TPMS sensors require driving for a short period of time before updated pressure readings are recorded accurately. Expect TPMS readings to reflect accurate tire pressure readings after driving 5 miles.

        Factors impacting tire pressure readings:

        • Ambient temperature - Air pressure increases in heat and decreases in cold.
        • Tire temperature – Tires warm up during use.
        • Sunlight – directly sunlight will increase tire temperature and thereby tire pressure.
