Tesla Cybertruck SnapPlate Front License Plate Holder Installation Guide
Follow these instructions to install and adjust the SnapPlate front license plate holder on your Tesla Cybertruck. Installation requires no drilling, adhesive, or permanent modification to the vehicle.
Installation Instructions
Attach Your License Plate
Secure your license plate to the SnapPlate frame using four of the included Torx security screws. Choose the black or silver screws depending on your preferred appearance.
Open the Mounting Mechanism
Press the OPEN button located on the right side of the SnapPlate base.
Position the SnapPlate
Insert the SnapPlate into the center section of the Cybertruck grille. Make sure the grille's vertical bar aligns with the corresponding vertical slot in the SnapPlate mounting mechanism.
Lock the Mount in Place
Press the CLOSE button on the left side of the base until the mechanism locks onto the grille.
Verify the Lock
Make sure the CLOSE button sits flush with the SnapPlate body. This confirms the locking mechanism and magnets are fully engaged.
Optional Anti-Theft Security Screw
For additional security, tighten the black anti-theft screw located in the hole on the right side of the SnapPlate.
If tightening the security screw causes the OPEN button to move, press and hold the CLOSE button while tightening.
Final Security Check
After tightening the security screw, confirm that the OPEN button is flush and does not move.
Before Using an Automatic Car Wash
We recommend removing the SnapPlate before entering an automated car wash. Touchless washes are generally less of a concern, but removing the plate holder is the safest option.
Grille Depth Adjustment
Small variations in the Cybertruck grille may require adjustment of the SnapPlate's rotating latches. Use the included Torx tool to fine-tune the fit.
Configure the Torx Driver
Remove the T10/T25 bit from the screwdriver handle and reinstall it with the smaller T10 end facing outward.
Locate the Adjustment Screws
Find the T10 Torx screws located in the center of each rotating latch on the SnapPlate mounting mechanism.
If the Fit Is Too Tight
Turn each adjustment screw counterclockwise one-half turn. Each half-turn loosens the latch by approximately 0.25 mm.
Gently pull each latch outward with your fingers to confirm it has extended, then test-fit the SnapPlate on the Cybertruck grille.
Repeat in half-turn increments as needed, up to a maximum of two full turns.
If the Fit Is Too Loose
Turn each adjustment screw clockwise one-half turn. Each half-turn tightens the latch by approximately 0.25 mm.
Test the fit on the grille after each adjustment and repeat until the SnapPlate locks firmly in place.
