Tesla Cybertruck has spawned an iconic position in the landscape of modern pickup trucks. Tesla describes Cybertruck as durable and rugged enough to go anywhere and tackle anything. Our mission at T Sportline is to design and manufacture Cybertruck upgrades and accessories which expand on this core mission. The T Sportline CTX Bumper for Cybertruck has been developed from scratch to provide the most extreme duty bumper for Cybertruck yet. The marriage of utility, protection, and proper Cybertruck design language has converged in perfect harmony to define the CTX Extreme Duty Cybertruck Bumper by T Sportline.
With decades of hard-core off-roading and overlanding under our belt, our team set bumper design specifications around performance, appearance, and meaningful functionality. It is not just the edgy and rugged looks, but the full functionality associated with off-road recovery, vehicle protection, a 12,000 lb winch offering, and ample lighting options.
Structure and Load Path Strategy:
A study of the Tesla Cybertruck frontal subframe and factory bumper underpinnings was step one in our design process. With the plastic bumper removed a full laser scan of the underlying structure was generated to create a basis for structural engineering analysis and creating a bumper attachment and load path plan. There are limitations with the Cybertruck structure which we've identified and worked carefully to optimize our design around to ensure the most ideal load path strategy.
Bumper Specifications:
The welded steel bumper is designed to replace all factory plastic bumper components including the front underside elements. The T Sportline CTX Bumper is manufactured from CNC-press bent alloy steel, fixture welded, and tripled coated - phosphate surface treatment / e-coating / and textured black powder coating. The CTX bumper retains proper functionality of the front camera, front Bluetooth sensor, and OEM tow hooks. The bumper features integrate hi-lift jack points, license plate mounts, and built-in provisions for mounting outer fog light LED pods and center LED pods or light bars.
Auxiliary High-Output (HO) Power:
The factory Cybertruck auxiliary power pre-wire (found under the frunk liner and toggled on/off in the center screen) is limited to 400 peak watts. Educated enthusiasts will recognize this power limitation is simply impossibly low for operating an adequate strength winch or high powered off-road lighting. And connecting a high load winch or lighting directly to the onboard 48v lithium battery is not an acceptable option either. Rest easy, our engineers have developed a highly innovative, self contained auxiliary power system complete with plug-and-play onboard BMU to ensure up to a huge 800 amps / 9600 watts of power! Our optional power system enables using and works seamlessly with most all aftermarket 12v winches and the highest output 12v LED lighting. The T Sportline power systems are enclosed in a box which bolts-on in the frunk and includes a plug-and-play harness which includes a battery management unit and charger which is powered directly from the Cybertruck. We offer four High-Output Power systems with varying battery chemistry and power levels. Base battery chemistry is AGM is an absorbed glass mat lead-acid battery - these are very high performance, but weigh more than lithium ion. Our premium batteries are deep-cycle LiFePO4 lithium ion dry cell batteries, which offer a significant light weight advantage. The frunk mounted power box is 18" x 10" x 11". Note - not compatible with Tesla Cybertruck Cooler for Frunk.
Lighting only HO Power kits:
Winch and /or Lighting HO Power kits:
Winch Options:
We recommend a 12,000lb winch for proper recovery capability on your Cybertruck. Our Auxiliary High-Output Power system is design to support the power draw and rigors expected from 12,000lb winches or smaller. While we offer a selection of quality winches, we designed our CTX bumper to work with industry standard 10" x 4.5" base pattern winches (overall envelop 24" x 10.75") - you can supply your own winch if desired. The winch is a bolt-on option and can be added at any point.
Auxiliary Fog, Recovery, and Off-Road Lighting Options:
We have a deep background in off-road lighting, with two ex-Morimoto engineers on staff - rest assured our spec'd systems are among the finest performing options. Options start with configuration. You can select a basic 4-pod, outer position only lighting configuration, or our full 8-pod outer position and center position configuration for the ultimate lighting setup. Within each pod position, select the LED pod which suits your needs - we offer different brands, power levels, lens options, and lens colors. All optional lighting kits we offer include our exclusive plug-and-play wireless remote control for toggling lights on/off (no need to run wires into the cab!). Alternatively, our CTX bumper features industry standard Pod mounting bosses and you can build your own custom system using any suitable lights.
For lighting options, we offer Morimoto 2Banger and 4Banger LED pods. These are market leading performers, with the most modern LED drivers, precision engineered optics, and very best light output. 2Banger NCS are the standard 2-chip LED pod, suitable for base budget high performance (13.5W / 1A / 900lm per Pod). HXB is a step-up in power (24W / 1.8A / 2000lm per Pod). For those seeking a square pod (tri-LED chip), we offer 4Banger, starting with NCS power (15.6W / 1.5A / 1350lm). Our maximum performance pod is the HXB 4Banger (42W / 3.2A / 3000lm).
From a beam optics perspective, we offer all available options. It's typical for enthusiasts to select and mix different beam patterns for each pod when multiple use cases are being considered. Beam optics include Combo, Spot, Wide, and Flood. The most general purpose is Combo beam. Spot will give max distance, very concentrated. Flood will fill the forefront with as much light as possible without too much concentration. And Wide is a street legal SAE spec fog optic - basically short range.
Finally, lens color can be specified as standard white or fog-centric yellow. Feel free to mix colors, which is common to couple a pair of yellow and a pair of white.
