Designed for enthusiasts who demand sharp handling and strong grip, this tire delivers an exciting driving experience while maintaining impressive everyday usability. It is engineered for high-performance sports cars, performance sedans, coupes, and sporty crossovers that prioritize dynamic response and confident control.

At its core, the ExtremeContact Sport 02 features Continental’s advanced SportPlus Technology, which significantly enhances overall handling, wet traction, and tread life compared to previous generations. This innovative technology works in harmony with a sophisticated tread compound and optimized internal construction to provide consistent performance across a wide range of driving conditions. The tire’s wide shoulder blocks play a critical role by delivering sharp cornering precision and strong braking performance, allowing drivers to push their vehicles harder with greater confidence on both dry and wet pavement.

The aggressive tread pattern is specifically tuned for maximum dry grip and rapid water evacuation, resulting in shorter stopping distances and reduced risk of hydroplaning during sudden maneuvers or heavy rain. Whether you’re navigating twisty back roads, merging onto highways, or enjoying a spirited drive on a weekend canyon run, the ExtremeContact Sport 02 responds with immediate feedback and planted stability. Its responsive steering and high-speed stability make it a favorite among driving enthusiasts who value precision and excitement.

This tire’s capabilities align particularly well with modern performance EVs. It excels at instant torque handling, making it a strong Tesla tire or premium EV replacement tire option. Electric vehicles deliver power instantly, and the ExtremeContact Sport 02 is engineered to manage that surge effectively while supporting the additional EV load capacity of battery-equipped vehicles. Its construction helps maintain composure during aggressive acceleration, offering drivers of high-performance electric cars the control and confidence they need.

Beyond raw performance, the ExtremeContact Sport 02 also delivers respectable real-world comfort for an ultra-high performance summer tire. The optimized tread design helps control road noise, contributing to a more refined cabin experience during daily commuting and longer highway journeys. This balance of sportiness and civility makes it an excellent choice for drivers who want a weekend warrior tire that doesn’t punish them during the weekday grind.

With improved tread life thanks to SportPlus Technology, owners can enjoy extended mileage without sacrificing the thrilling performance characteristics that define this tire. The durable compound resists heat buildup during aggressive driving, helping maintain consistent grip lap after lap on the track or mile after mile on the street.

The Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 is the ideal tire for drivers who refuse to compromise between thrilling performance and practical daily usability. It shines in dry conditions with razor-sharp handling, provides excellent wet weather capability when conditions deteriorate, and offers the structural strength needed for today’s powerful electric and gasoline performance vehicles alike.

Whether you own a sports coupe, a potent performance sedan, or a high-output electric vehicle, the ExtremeContact Sport 02 elevates your driving experience with every turn of the wheel. Backed by Continental’s reputation for engineering excellence and safety, this tire represents a premium choice for those who seek maximum enjoyment and control from their vehicle.

Choose the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 when you want a tire that delivers track-inspired performance for the street, strong all-around capability, and the advanced engineering required to handle the unique demands of modern high-performance and electric vehicles.

Replacing stock tires on OEM Tesla wheels

Stock Tesla Tire Replacement and Maintenance
OEM Tesla tires are designed and manufactured to optimize performance, safety, reliability and durability. Naturally, due to normal usage and aging, tires degrade over time from the effects of ultraviolet light, extreme temperatures, loading and environmental exposure. T Sportline recommends replacing OEM Tesla tires exclusively with exact replacements. T Sportline Tesla factory replacement tire listings include, but are not limited to replacement OEM-spec Tesla factory tires.

        Recommended Tesla Tire Rotation
T Sportline recommends rotating your tires every 6,250 miles or sooner if tread depth varies between any of the 4 tires by 2/32 in or greater. Aggressive driving or harsh environments can lead to premature tire wear and may require more frequent tire inspection. Unbalanced and misaligned wheels affect ride quality, vehicle handling, tire life and driveline component longevity. Tesla lug nuts are 21mm socket heads and must be torqued to 129 ft-lbs / 175 Nm

Maintaining Proper Tire Pressures on Teslas
T Sportline recommends keeping tires inflated to the pressures shown on the Tesla Tire and Loading Information label, even if it differs from the pressure printed on the tire itself. The Tire and Loading Information label is located midway up on the center door pillar and is visible when the driver’s door is open. T Sportline's recommended Tesla Tire inflator is HERE.

Checking and Adjusting Tesla Tire Pressure

When your Tesla has been stationary and out of direct sunlight for over three hours:

        • Remove the tire air valve stem cap (unscrew cap by hand).
        • Firmly press a tire pressure gauge onto the valve stem tip to measure pressure (a small amount of air will escape during measurement, which is normal).
        • Compare reading to Tesla Tire Pressure specification (found on the Tire and Loading Information label located midway up on the center door pillar, visible only when the driver’s door is open), add or remove air to match the recommended pressure. Reduce pressure by by pressing the metal pin in the center of the valve. Increase pressure using an appropriate tire inflator pump or compressed air source.
        • Re-check pressure using the tire pressure gauge.
        • Re-install the valve stem cap (hand tighten)
        • Important note: Under-inflation is the most common cause of tire failures and can cause a tire to overheat, resulting in severe tire cracking, tread separation, or blowout, which causes unexpected loss of car control and increased risk of injury. Under-inflation also reduces the car's range and tire tread life.
        • Tesla TPMS sensors require driving for a short period of time before updated pressure readings are recorded accurately. Expect TPMS readings to reflect accurate tire pressure readings after driving 5 miles.

        Factors impacting tire pressure readings:

        • Ambient temperature - Air pressure increases in heat and decreases in cold.
        • Tire temperature – Tires warm up during use.
        • Sunlight – directly sunlight will increase tire temperature and thereby tire pressure.
