Position:
Product Manager
Responsible for developing an EV product portfolio that is informed by market research combined with company core competencies. You will define and propose new products, oversee development and sourcing, develop forecasts and pricing plans, and manage the lifecycle for the assigned product lines. Responsibilities also include supplier relationship management, value proposition development, training, and collaboration with marketing asset development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops product strategies and roadmaps consistent with company vision and brand guidelines
- Proposes products by identifying potential market needs and opportunities, with emphasis on launching first to market innovations
- Conducts market research and develops understanding of customer needs
- Incorporates feedback from customers, partners, and in-house teams to expand product market reach
- Generates product requirements documents, positioning and marketing strategies
- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; and other related activities
- Utilizes the Phase Gate product development process to deliver and launch projects
- Collaborates with leadership, engineering, marketing, and sales to achieve cross functional goals
- Identify and develop relationships with a global supply chain of partners and vendors
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's products to competitors' products
- Develops and manages product market share estimates
- Develops short-term and long-term product sales forecasts to inform operations and supply chain functions
- Supports e-commerce and b2b sales channels
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Passion for cars and electric vehicles, experience modifying cars preferred.
- A blend of business acumen, strategic insight and technical knowledge driving a big-picture vision with day-to-day practical capabilities to bring the strategic vision to reality
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a branded product, consumer goods product manager related role
- Proven ability to seek out and understand market and customer needs
- Proficiency analyzing large amounts of data and distilling information into relevant business proposals
- Background in phase gate product development process is preferred
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaborator
- Problem-solving aptitude and creative thinking ability
- Team player who can build relationships at all levels of the business
- 4-year degree, MBA preferred
- Driven, resourceful, creative with a passion to keep T Sportline #1
- Enjoy with working in a fast-paced environment and juggling dozens of projects concurrently
- Ability to travel occasionally to shows and events.
