As the anticipation for the arrival of the long awaited Cybertruck heightens, Tesla has recently been spotted beginning to assemble its giant new casting machine for Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas.
New drone flyover footage of Gigafactory Texas, shot by YouTuber Joe Tegtmeyer, shows us a peek inside the factory where Tesla is currently assembling the new 9-ton Giga Press that is manufactured by IDRA.
In March of last year, Tesla confirmed that it aims to complete Cybertruck development this year for production in 2023. In June, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the automaker is aiming for production to start in mid-2023.
Since it was first unveiled back in 2019, the Cybertruck has caught the interest of 1.5 million people who have been waiting patiently as the production date has been pushed a multiple times. Now with this new drone footage, it seems that the automaker is finally on track to meet its new timeline for production of the Cybertruck.
