Tesla announces new, larger Model Y variant called the Model Y L, designed specifically for the Chinese market. The Model Y L seats 6 passengers with its larger body. It is roughly 180 mm longer and 44 mm taller with an extended wheelbase.

This new Model Y L also packs a punch with more power than the standard Long Range AWD Model Y. While Tesla plans a fall launch in China to boost Tesla's market share, it has not confirmed if the Model Y L will be available in the U.S.
