Tesla has reintroduced the $2,500 seven-seater option for the 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper in the U.S., specifically for the Model Y Premium AWD Long Range. The third row remains very compact and is primarily suitable for children, as it does not include the extended wheelbase found in recent international versions.
The Model Y Premium trims also receive several aesthetic and tech updates, including a higher-resolution 16-inch screen, a black headliner, and black exterior badging. Additionally, the 20-inch Helix wheels have been updated to a dark grey finish to create a more modern, cohesive look.
This update is distinct from China’s "Model YL," which features a longer body and roomier captain's chairs. Elon Musk has indicated that this larger version is not currently planned for the U.S. market, leaving American buyers with the original, smaller seating configuration.
