Tesla may be shifting gears on its pickup strategy. After the bold and futuristic Cybertruck sells at a rate of 20,000 per year, Tesla is now considering a smaller electric pickup.

Tesla’s VP of engineering, Lars Moravy, recently discussed considering designs for a smaller truck.

Moravy hinted this new vehicle could serve both people and cargo, especially in a future dominated by Robotaxis. While no model has been greenlit yet, Tesla’s design studio is currently exploring a small pickup.

The focus on Robotaxi services suggests that whatever comes next may blend Tesla’s transportation vision with a more practical and versatile pickup option.
