Tesla vehicles are starting to get updated software with several key features such as cloud-based driver profiles to make the Tesla experience better.
Tesla Profiles is the key feature in this update that was promised by Elon Musk last year. The feature aims to keep a preferred setting and apply it to multiple vehicles whether a user is owning or renting a Tesla.
Tesla describes the new 'Tesla Profiles':
Keep your settings and preferences synchronized across all supported vehicles using your Tesla account, including:
- Mirror, seating and steering wheel adjustments
- Autopilot, driving and climate control preferences
- Navigation, media and data sharing preferences
You can set up your Tesla Profile from Driver Profile settings and change your profile picture from the Tesla Mobile app.
The update also allows repositioning the blind spot camera feed to different positions on the display to more vehicles.
Premium Connectivity owners will now be able to see slower traffic conditions along their route.
More vehicles will now have a new driving behavior that includes automatic braking when regenerative braking is limited.
