A new video and photos of a production Tesla Cybertruck leaked recently. It gives us a better idea of what changes have been made to the hefty vehicle so far.
Aesthetically, Tesla has maintained the iconic look of the original unveiled Cybertruck with it's distinguishable flat planes, sharp angles, and massive windshield. There is now a slight curve on the windshield though. Previous prototypes had completely flat windshields.
The LED light bar from the last Cybertruck spotting is not visible in these photos, however they could be more well hidden or removed.
There are also no door handles. Tesla confirmed that the Cybertruck will recognize the owner when they approach the car and will have auto-presenting doors like the Model X. In the original prototype, there used to be door handles similar to the Model S.
The wheels are also different with a split-6 spoke design. The original Cybertruck had a large plastic wheel cover over the wheels which are supposed to improve vehicle aerodynamics.
There is similarity to the Tesla Model 3 wheel with its aero covers removed. We can suspect that this type of wheel was behind the wheel face this whole time. Cybertruck will have removable wheel covers similar to the Model 3 and Model Y.
Now let's talk about the ginormous windshield and equally massive windshield wiper. There seems to be a single blade meant to swipe across the entire windshield in one sweep. Tesla has been working on an electromagnetic wiper system that is speculated to be used on the Cybertruck.
The leaked photos also confirm that there have been changes to the overall proportions of the vehicle. In the original prototype, the front end of the car protruded out more. Many pointed out that this was a big safety hazard. This high and sharp bumper would probably not stick in compliance to safety regulations.
