A prototype Tesla was spotted at the Fremont factory by a drone operator. The Tesla appears to be a Model Y, but its front and rear is covered and hidden.

 

This sparked speculation the mystery Tesla may be a new 'cheaper Tesla' or a Model Y Performance. Tesla canceled its cheaper $25,000 vehicle programs to further utilize the Model 3 and Y production lines. The Model 3 and Y production lines can be used to build new, cheaper vehicles on the same platform.
