Tesla has officially launched the refreshed Model Y Performance version in the U.S., with orders now open and a base price of $57,490. The EPA-estimated range is 308 miles and the 0–60 mph time is 3.3 seconds.
The updated design includes minor tweaks to the front and rear, 21″ “Arachnid” wheels, and upgraded suspension with adaptive damping. Inside, the seats get improved side bolstering and powered thigh cushion extenders. Tesla also says the Performance version will use higher-density battery cells to allow faster charging.
Tesla timed the U.S. launch right before the expiration of the federal EV tax credit, encouraging customers to place binding orders before the deadline.
