The Tesla Cybertruck features a tailgate edge surface and rear bumper assembly with a black plastic cover comprised of textured nylon.  The surface is highly susceptible to scuffing and scratching, in particular if you step on it or otherwise brush or slide anything over the surface.   T Sportline design engineers have created Stainless Steel Armor Protection Plates to attach on the top side of the rear bumper cover to provide a balanced solution that matches great looks and durability.   The made in the USA stainless steel plates feature a brushed finish with a laser-etched Cybertruck silhouette pattern.   Attachment to the bumper is achieved using pre-installed automotive grade 3M adhesive body tape, the same 3M product Tesla uses to attach spoilers and other components with.   

DIY installation is an easy process.  Thoroughly wash and dry all subject truck surfaces, including the tailgate top edge and top surfaces of the rear bumper.   The cleaner these surfaces, the better adhesion you'll achieve.   Use a wax and grease remover as needed to remove any car care products or residual stains.  Wipe tailgate and bumper attachment surfaces with isopropyl alcohol - the wipe towel must be free of any evidence of dirt, confirming the surfaces are clean.   We recommend using 3M adhesion promoter to ensure the very best attachment of the panels.  Wipe the Cybertruck attachment surfaces in line with the tape on the adjoining panel - be sure to wipe where the tape actually lines up on the panels.  Peal the backing off adhesive surfaces, line up the plate to the Cybertruck surface carefully - apply the plate straight onto the surface maintaining alignment.   Press along all surfaces firmly, multiple times.  Allow truck to sit in sun for a few hours to ensure adhesive fully activates.   Avoid wet or washing for 1 day.   An optional prep kit is offered, including wax and grease remover, alcohol wipes, and 3M adhesion promoter.
