The Model S P100D Ludicrous has now reigned over both LaFerrari and the Porsche 918, and has been declared the fastest production car in the world with a 0-60mph time of 2.5 seconds. What makes this most impressive is that both La Ferrari and the Porsche 918 are both million dollar, 2 seater vehicles with limited cargo, and yet The Model S P100D has the capacity to fit 5 adults plus 2 children with ample cargo capacity.
The P100D Ludicrous option is available for both Model S and Model X Vehicles making both Models the quickest production vehicle in their segment. The 100kWh battery pack does not only increase speed but it also extends range to an estimated 315 miles on the EPA cycle and 613km on the Eu Cycle, according to Tesla. This makes the Tesla Model S and the Tesla Model X the first Production Electric Vehicles to surpass the 300 mile range mark.
Tesla has made the P100D Ludicrous available for Upgrade for $ 10,000 to customers who have ordered a P90D Ludicrous, but have not take delivery. Also to Existing P90D Ludicrous owners to upgrade but for $20,000 due to their used 90kWh pack being recycled.
Tesla Ensures the customers that although the P100D Ludicrous Models are expensive, this is helping pay for the production and development of a smaller more affordable Tesla Model 3.
